Description
The Shadow Crown: Frostwynd Chronicles is a fantasy text adventure in the style of the 1980s classics. Players explore the frozen realm of Frostwynd by typing commands, from the village of Eldergrove through the Dark Forest and the Frostwynd Mountains to the catacombs beneath an ancient kingdom. Along the way they meet 8 characters, fight 15 types of enemy in turn-based combat, solve puzzles and a cipher, and face 3 bosses: Vampire Lord Crimson, Necromancer Malachar and the red dragon Scorathax, who wears the Shadow Crown.
Every location is illustrated, the game autosaves, and there are 4 endings to discover, one of them secret. It is the prequel and first chapter of The Shadow Crown series.

From the developer
"I wanted to build something that took me back to being 11 years old, on an old IBM at the back of maths class, typing NORTH, WEST, LOOK and INVENTORY. I built The Shadow Crown so that the hero and the world become yours."
